Halo Project By Peter Jackson Coming In 2008?
In an interview with GameInformer concerning the absence of major titles like Alan Wake and Too Human from E3, Microsoft's Shane Kim let loose some words on the Halo film project. Here's what that adorable little man said:
"With Alan Wake and Too Human, we're just going to make sure that they're really ready when we show them again. But we wouldn't be talking about them if they were - let me put it this way - way out in the future,"
He adds:
"We're not showing anything from the Halo project that we're doing with Peter Jackson and Bungie, but I'm talking about it - it's not going to be way out there, either."
"Not too far away" sounds an awful lot like "2008." Eurogamer points out that Peter Jackson will be creating episodic Halo games using his brand spanking new "Wingnut Interactive development team." Details are few and far between and as EG puts it, "any mention of it seems to result in tongue-twisting "cinematic experience" metaphors." They would also like a big monkey to be in the games...I'm inclined to agree.
