Lair Development Is Done And Ships On August 14th
The dragon flight destructive extravaganza Lair is ship shape and ready to fly on August 14. Considering the dearth of noteworthy PS3 titles recently, Sony fanboys will have something to look forward to next month. The official PlayStation blog broke the news, crushing rumors that the game will be delayed until the holiday season.
Let’s hope that this signals the start of some truly groundbreaking titles for the PS3, because Sony needs them now. With the “temporary” $100 price break of the 60GB model, sales of the system spiked 135% showing more people are interested in the console now. To continue the trend, Sony needs to sell off all of their 60GB models and cut $150 off of the price of their upcoming 80GB model to stay competitive. Rumors are circulating now that the Xbox 360 will have a $50 cut in August, so there will be an even larger price gap between the competing systems. I think enough gamers have spoken up to say $600 is far too expensive for a gaming console, $450 sounds more reasonable to me.

Who are these gamers who have spoken up? Looking at the sales charts it seems that oh-so vocal group is shrinking by the month.
Why are you still ragging on Sony. Most game blogs have slowly started changing their tune in recent months after seeing some of the newly demo'ed PS3 exclusives but gaygamer just keeps at it.

I come here because I'm gay and I play games. I own both a PS3 and a 360. Could you at least try to be civil and give both console the same kind of respect. Or is this your way of making a point? Are you secretly trying to convince straight 'hardcore' gamers that you're just like them and that you share their exact opinions and that they should love you? Guess what, they don’t come here. Everyone on xbox live hates your guts.

Alright Polly pissy pants, if you ever read this site, you know that I'm a Sony supporter. I talk about my PSP as much as possible, and I've continually stated that the PS2 has the greatest library of games ever created for a console. All of the platforms I play right now were made by Sony.
You took one line out of my article and blew it to pieces. By the way, I was referring to the sluggish sales figures, which speaks volumes for the gaming community. I stand by my opinion that $600 is far too expensive for a console. Now if they had an extensive library of must-own titles, it may be a different story. I hate to be the one to say it (and I am in no way going to take sides here) but there have been a few times where I have read an article on gaygamner.net...and then wanted to puke afterwards from 360 and Nintendo fanboy overdose.
