Lost Odyssey Image Scans

That other Mistwalker game, Lost Odyssey, is slowly gaining momentum, and is just as much reason as Blue Dragon is for RPG lovers to pick the Xbox 360 over the PS3. A new short article in the gaming mag Famitsu reveals some gorgeous new shots of battle, as well as new characters and a very tan Hironobu Sakaguchi talking shop. Someone's on the same beauty regimen as Lindsay Lohan.

From what I can gather, the game is slated for a dual release in Japan and the US at the end of this year. Battle scenes are absolutely stunning, with all the bells and whistles that you'd expect of a next generation title. Swords and magic seem to play a major role, and the game is full of royalty and giant armor plated monsters, in typical fantasy style. A little pic of two children hints at characters who you will see grow as the game develops through time, considering the (super sexy) hero is immortal and the game spans 1000 years. There are even shots of airships, which is a definite nod to Sakaguchi's roots. Call me absolutely insane, but I'm more excited for the two Mistwalker games than I am for anything "Final Fantasy" on the horizon--and I'm including the big Thirteen.
