Lost Odyssey Screens of Baddies
Lost Odyssey is still being planned for a 2007 release on the 360, and the images just keep coming after a drought that had me worried the game was being even further pushed back. This time, Famitsu managed to get their hands on some pre E3 shots that give a closer look at some of the Lost Odyssey monsters.
Graphics could not be more different from Mistwalker's other 360 release, Blue Dragon. Instead of anime-styled cleanliness, LO is almost disturbingly realistic, with the full next gen touch of light effects and monstrous detail. Even up to the similar name, Lost Odyssey is the challenge to the throne of Final Fantasy.
With the release of these two games and the DS game Archaic Sealed Heat, Sakaguchi's company is making a huge statement: high quality RPGs that don't fit into a mold. Like good boyfriend material, Mistwalker is ready to take risks and has a broad range of talents. I for one, hope Mistwalker has a lot to show at this year's E3.
