Mario Party 8 Recalled In UK

Nintendo just recalled all copies of Mario Party 8 in the UK because of the inclusion of an offensive term towards disabled people. The official Nintendo website has this posted as an explanation of the mishap.
"[Mario Party 8] was launched in the UK today. Unfortunately we have discovered that a small number of games contain the wrong version of the disk due to an assembly error. We have therefore decided to recall all copies of the game from UK retailers so that this mistake can be corrected”
CVG reports that Kamek the blue wizard says: "Magikoopa magic! Turn the train spastic! Make this ticket tragic!" Apparently this was a mistake and should have been changed before the launch of the game, but the “wrong version” hit the shelves and had to be pulled.
Mario Party 8 will be re-launched at a later date with a corrected version of the game. Nintendo will make an announcement soon on when the title will be available again.

Wow this is fantastic.
Getting recalled for the word "spastic"
Isn't that a little drastic?
Its not drastic. Its Spastic!
Isn't this the second "spastic" problem, or am I just thinking that two different articles were about two different games?
No, that's two spastic games in a month, both for Nintendo systems.
We'll know it's a conspiracy of insensitivity when Wii Fit comes out and calls you a gimp because you can't balance half-cocked for 3 seconds.
Spastic is way more offensive in the UK than the US.
yeah i didn't get it at first... because spastic doesn't mean anything bad here... but if the line said "Magikoopa magic! Turn the train retarted! Make this ticket tragic!"... it would of been pulled in the US
this is totally stupid, in my opinion. political correctness rears it's ugly head again.
Yeah, it's overreaction. Rowling had one of the kids use the word "spastic" somewhere in the HP series and I remember not a word of controversy over that.
I think "Turn the train retarded" is the best thing I've heard all day.
