Metal Gear Online Closed Beta
The Metal Gear Online beta is soon set to begin!!! At least in Japan. Konami and Kojima Productions announced the beta in which they will soon choose 3,000 gamers to get involved in some honest to goodness tactical espionage action. The announcement was made at a party taking place today celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series. 1Up points out that no US announcement was made, but the fact that the even was Japan-centric hardly makes the surprising. If we're to hear anything about US plan, we'll hear it in the coming weeks.
So, if you're in Japan, you can go ahead and register right here at the Kojima Productions website. The bad news about this whole thing is that the beta seems to be extraordinarily short. It will open up on August 20th and end September 3rd. Those of you lucky enough to get in on the action, enjoy it, it won't last long. Be sure to write in if you're invited, too!
