More Screenshots Of Dragon Quest Swords!
A double thanks to JeuxFrance today, for providing even more screenshots to another upcoming Wii RPG, Dragon Quest Swords. For the first time there is a taste of some of the abilities of the characters. We see the goth-lolita chick (Seteya) engaging in something fabulous called the "Pink Typhoon" and the noble youth (Dane) performing on his big horn something called the "Medoroa" which has to do with fire and ice and is probably just bad translation on my part. It still isn't clear whether the other characters perform only back up to the hero, or if you can play with them as your main character, or if it is traditional RPG turn based.
There also appears to be mini games, with a screen of a slime and the words, "Time Attack: Slime 100" which can only mean defeating 100 slimes in a set amount of time. Really, if it's not that, I'll eat my tiny gym shorts. There's confirmation of mini-medals as well, although what Dragon Quest game worth it's weight in gold doesn't have collecting those as a pastime. The last couple screenshots have some interaction with a teasing monster, but I can't seem to decipher their meaning. All in all, an exciting new collection of screenshots revealing more of the gameplay than ever before.
Oh yeah, and what's with the big muscley arms dealer with the pink mask, long eyelashes and a bow? I sense a friend of Dorothy.

His name is Catherine. It looks like he may be a homage to Nintendo's character Catherine (known in the US as Birdo.) :)
