New Subtitle For Disgaea On PSP

disgaeapsp.jpg

There are a few of us at the Castle who are eagerly waiting to get our grubby little paws on the upcoming PSP version of Disgaea. The original Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the PS2 was developed by Nippon Ichi Software and released in 2003. Due to the new content and emphasis on an expanded game, the upcoming game will be released in October and called Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness.

Transitioning the game to a portable system is an interesting move for NIS. Disgaea is the sort of game that is easy to lose yourself in for hours. Even though you don’t have to go off adventuring in far away lands, since most of the exploration takes place in a few rooms, the litany of tasks at your disposal is enough to make your head spin. I’m curious to see how gamers will play the upcoming title, in short bursts on the train or bus, or lengthy nights reclining on a chaise lounge.
