South Park Gets Emmy Nomination For WoW Episode

southpark_wow1.jpg

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have reason to celebrate since the masterful South Park episode “Make Love, Not Warcraft” has just received an Emmy nomination. The episode was nominated for Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Les Than One Hour), jeez talk about specific. I think they should be nominated for best animation ever, it’s a bit less inclusive, don’t ‘cha think?

Warcraft wasn’t the only game that got the South Park skewer this year. Cartman went through the Wii woes before launch and had himself cryogenically frozen for three weeks, until the system dropped. With a slight miscalculation, Carman woke up five-hundred years in the future. Such a great episode, they had to split it up into a two-parter.

Since these episodes were so well received, I hope they continue to parody the gaming industry. They have taken on Nintendo, Microsoft, and WoW, who’s next? I smell a Sony PS3 bomb right around the corner. Tick, tick, tick….
