Top RPG Player Kidnapped, Held at Gunpoint for Password

A top player in GunBound, a popular online RPG developed in South Korea, was kidnapped in Sao Paulo, Brazil by an armed group of four. The gamer was lured via Orkut, Google's social network by one of the suspect's girlfriends. She cajoled the player through Orkut to meet her at a shopping mall, where he was abducted. Then the group allegedly held a gun to the victim's head to get his password, but the player actually held out for five hours without giving it to them. Finally, they gave up and let him go, and all four suspects -- ages 19 to 27-- were later apprehended by the police. Due to the popularity of the game, they planned to sell the player's account for $8,000.
This raises a few questions on both parts. One: if someone was pointing at gun at your head, why wouldn't you just tell them what they wanted? No game is worth dying for! And two: on the criminals' part, if the user is so renowned, why would someone buy the account and try to pass it off as their own?
GunBound. It's not just a clever name for the game anymore... (And this definitely tops the previous MMO-related kidnapping I wrote about.)

The third question should be: if he is a top player how does he have time to have more than one girlfriend?
He held out for 5 hours is what amazes me.
Probably during that time he was trying to calculate the winds and angles to get a knock out boom shot.
