Video: Clive Barker's Jericho
As long as you're of age, enjoy this video of Clive Barker's Jericho, a FPS for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 that actually looks interesting. I've always enjoyed the twisted avenues of Barker's mind, especially when it comes to violence and apocalyptic settings, so it will be interesting to see what the story ends up being like.
From what I can gather, it appears that the female character is a "Jericho" and has some sort of power, although whether it is just plain magic or some form of telekinetic force remains to be seen. It also looks like you can play as other characters in the team, although the only one they show appears to be a guy named Frank who has a deep baritone of a voice. The enemies looks terribly frightening, something between Resident Evil 4's zombies and Silent Hill's twisted forms--before you've even hit them once with a bullet, they're already next to you and gouging away in the variegated shadows of the cave battlegrounds.
Considering Barker is an openly gay writer and the FPS genre has long been considered the most masculine and hetero (at least among teenage boys), it will be interesting to see how Barker messes with our preconceived notions of the genre. Or at least tells a damn good story.

Thanks for posting some video.
I have been following this game since it was announced; as I am a huge Clive Barker fan and FPS fan. ^_^
I received an email to day from Codemasters letting me know the Jericho site has fully gone live. So here is some updated info gathered from the site correcting the statements above.

As you can tell its an FPS set around squad based action.
The Jericho of the title refers to the Jericho Team, a seven-man strike force that protects government interests from paranormal threats. Trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts, each Jericho Team member is an expert in para-psychological disciplines, including clairvoyance, alchemy, blood magic and exorcism.
As you delve deeper into the game you and your team will have to rely less and less on traditional weapons and instead on the combined psychic talents of your squad.
The site has a lot of images and video including a clever point and click scenario that gives you some back story to what this is all about. Check it out.
This isn't Barker's first time dealing with the FPS genre. A while back he did 'Undying' which was pretty good, albeit a commercial failure. The story line was tight, then graphics were great for the time and the powers were pretty cool. It was also a good, long game with a satisfying conclusion. You don't get many of those anymore.
If you see it in a bargain bin, I highly recommend picking it up.
