Video: Resident Evil UC
The GayGamer castle has had it's eye on Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for awhile now, with actual playtime clocked in by our lovely and talented tiny dancer at May's Capcom Press Day. Being one of those lovely rail shooters so often found in movie theaters and arcades, RE: UC offers a little bit more control with the option of looking around at will with the Wii's nunchuk attachment. Running in 480p and widescreen, this will be one pretty game for your noisy little white box that could.
This teaser video seems to point towards the game having a basis in the history of the Umbrella Corporation's path of bio destruction. Perhaps each level will be a chapter in the story that you have to get through, maybe even playing as different characters within each mini storyline. It's also been confirmed that there will be further levels beyond those that have been made familiar in Resident Evil Zero through 3, like the Umbrella Stronghold. Regardless, it looks like a blast. Who doesn't want zombie chunks flying through the air? And you gotta love zombie sharks.
Oh, and when did Albert Wesker become a bad Sean Connery impression?

I was never a fan of RE games, which is kinda odd, bc I loved it's grand-dad Alone in the Dark to death. Nevertheless I'm not sure how I feel about RE on Rails. On the other hand power to the Wii for reviving the lightgun genre. I'd really love it if the omnispresence of wiimotes would lead to lightgun games becoming all the rage once more.
re gun survivor 2 was also on rails. and for some reason got a euro release and lacked one stateside.
although, i am also looking forward to the relese. i didn't see any claire and leon footage. are they the only tandem not in the game for some reason? of course, i didn't see any cameos of carlos either, but they were clearly playing through parts of three.
and yes, i agree, wtf is the deal with weskers new voice? who planned that hooey.
Oh Resident Evil voice acting, I hope that you never change.
I didn't see any Claire and Leon either...which is kinda disheartening since 2 was my favorite RE game. I'd much rather play as Claire and Leon than Jill and Carlos...
Resident evil's terrible Voice acting is what makes it cool ^^
I always thought that Alyson Court (Clair and RE:Outbreak 1 Yoko) was good. But good god the new Wesker...Anyways, I really hate the new action direction RE has taken...but looks I'll have to suck it up If I ever want to know what the hell happened with most of the characters.
