BioShock Downloadable Art Book
You might remember a while back when That Cult of Rapture, the BioShock Community site, held a vote on what players would most like to see in the Limited Edition of the upcoming game. Ultimately, the making of DVD, soundtrack CD and Big Daddy figurine were all voted into the set with my favorite choice, the art book, left behind. Well, the lovely community manager of the site, Elizabeth Tobey, decided that an art book was something that was needed for a game that is so appealing from an artistic standpoint (and every other standpoint for that matter) and she put one together herself. The finished product entitled "BioShock: Breaking the Mold", is available for download in at the Cult of Rapture website in both high and low rez versions in PDF format. It contains alot of beautiful concept art for the many different aspects of the game including characters, environments, weapons and special sections devoted solely to the Big Daddies and Little Sisters.
If you are like me and just want to steep yourself in as much BioShock culture as you can definitely take the time to download the book. However Elizabeth warns that if you want to stay spoiler free, avoid reading Ken Levine's forward until after you've finished the game.
