Do You Work In The Game Industry? Join The Gay Game-Industry Professionals List!

GayGamer is proud to host the brand-new Gay Game-Industry Professionals (GGP) list, a private and convenient mailing list for LGBT folk who make their livings working within the video game industry - be you developer, publisher, journalist, analyst, marketing or PR genius, Biz Dev, sales, QA, or any other head of this hydra we call the game industry.
The GGP list serves a dual purpose: receive news, invites, job postings, resumes and the like (or submit similar items you'd like to reach the rest of the group); we'll also be making it easier to plan and attend GGP gatherings at all of the various conferences, expos and events where we so often find ourselves. Now you'll have a group with whom to gather and explore the gay environs of whichever city you visit next!
The list is managed by Brian Rubin, Account Director at fortyseven communications, and will be kept discreet, so just submit your name, company, title and/or job description, email address and mobile phone number, and you're all set.
We'll soon have a link directly from the front page, but starting today you can fill out the GGP form here. Thanks!

I heart how all the silhouettes have appealing coiffures.
Love the logo! Makes me want to be in the industry!
I think this is a great idea! I was actually kind of wondering if there was some sort of list like this already out there for game developers. Consider me signed up. :)
likewise. this is great news!
Hehehe, puts a new spin on brbggp ;)
Random question: Is this the same list that one could find through IGDA's site or something separate?
This is a separate list from the IGDA LGBT mailing list - the IGDA mailing list is a GREAT resource for broader issues and discussions and tends to be more developer-focused.
The GGP list functions more as a networking and social-coordination tool for those of us who often find ourselves at one event or another but don't know what all the gays are up to. It will also be an excellent tool for news alerts, resume posting and finding, as well as to help Brian organize any specific events or get-togethers that may arise!
I can probably guess the answer but I figured I would ask anyway =X Is professional gamer considered to be part of this? If you want I can give you the information for the team I play for and such information.
What of those of us who work not in video but in pen and paper games? *feels left out*
Cool stuff. Ima joinin'.
One critique: not everyone who falls under the LGBT banner is gay. Thus I think Queer Game Industry Professional List would be a better name. QGP sounds nice too.
Or if not queer, some other word that includes rather than excludes.
