Konami Shuts Down DDR Server
Those of you playing Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA online with your PS2 are going to have to hang up your dancing shoes, or at the very least, go solo from now on. Konami has announced that their online service for DDR SuperNOVA will be shut down on September 10, 2007.
On the plus side, they would also like you to know that DDR SuperNOVA 2 will be hitting the PS2 just a couple weeks later. That's set to release on September 25, and will also have full online play. I've always enjoyed a little DDR, but never actually took it online (mostly because I never sprung for the PS2 network adaptor). Is it any fun? Seems to me it wouldn't be as good if you couldn't actually see the person you were dancing against. Is anybody actually playing this online? Or did I just waste these column inches?
