Lair Pushed Back To September 4th

The dragon-flying Sixaxis showcase title, Lair, is being delayed 3 weeks from the initial launch date of August 14th. SCEA Associate Producer Ryan Hamlyn confirmed the game will ship on September 4th. He explained they delayed the release to address “an extra step in QA testing to enhance the community features in the game.”
So far the reviews have not be stellar for Lair. Common complaints are buggy sixaxis controls, and inconsistent frame rates. Hopefully they have the time to address some of these concerns before the game flies back to retailers.
Lair Delayed [Exophase]

I may be wide off the mark here, but I *think* of LAIR as a "launch title," only with a 9 month delay. I got my hands on it briefly (too briefly for a hands-on post, or for much commentary at all, really), and while the SIXAXIS control worked very well for the few seconds I had it my hands, I can see the world at large feeling some degree of disappointment with this game.
Of course, that might also be my RPG bias being disappointed at so much fantasy flight action without too much questing and dungeon crawling.
Either way: Infamous.
