Rough Trade Friday: Stardust
Just about any comics fan worth their salt will light up as soon as you mention the name of Neil Gaiman. It's hard not to, to be honest, largely because the man has yet to write a bad graphic novel... even when he's at his worst, he's still better than about 95% of the other writers out there. However, he not only writes comics, but he also does books and movie screenplays as well (did you know that he wrote the English version of Princess Mononoke?).
So, what better subject for Rough Trade Friday than both a book Neil wrote and the movie that it spawned? That's right, Dear Readers, both Boy Blunder and I've decided to recommend Stardust for this weekend's literary/viewing pleasure because both the movie and the film have something for everyone: fantasy, humor, adventure, wicked witches, dastardly princes, and a love story which will pull at your heartstrings no matter who you are.
