Schizoid Gameplay: It's Crazy.

In what appears to be some sort of bizarre hybrid, Schizoid has received a teaser trailer. This title kicks off as being the first title released under the XNA Game Studio platform.

Team Xbox recently published article "Prepare to Go Schizoid", An upcoming title Schizoid is given a cryptic accounts from a Torpex Games’ President Bill Dugan. His description, although cryptic, describes the gameplay in a simple concise manner.

The gameplay is simple. There are two players each defending their partner against monsters of opposing colors. Red protects Blue from Red and vise versa. This simple concept appears to resemble Ikaruga and Gauntlet at the same time, both titles wildly different and yet insanity educing gameplay has personally caused me to nearly break many a controller.

What will be most intriguing to me is if they introduce a single player mode where players must control both the blue AND the red ships at the same time with both analog sticks. They could even pull out some brain age style statistics screen, showing which side of your brain is favored. But that is just speculation.

Little else is known about this enigmatic title other than it will be released sometime later this year.
