Silent Hill 5: Truckload Of Creepy

I think I'm in love. Silent Hill 5, will you be my seriously deformed life companion? I've been a fan of the series for over a half decade. The movie was even worth a viewing on the big screen just for the visual effects alone. Now why did Konami have to go and start working on another sequel. The latest issue of EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly) has shone an interesting light on some of the new features in the upcoming title.
Looking at Silent Hill... while the atmosphere has always been very dark and rich... it's rarely interactive. Dilapidation and refuse is welded to the environment. Well this is about to change. With the addition of a real-time physics engine, we will see new devious things such as falling chairs, freely swinging doors, clattering floor boards and just general deformable environments. Enemies will also be able to react to the sounds of these interactions and hunt you down.
As well as being able to react to sound monsters the monsters will also be visually interactive. Bleeding mouths and exploding boils not excluded. Stated that familiar characters such as the much loved nurses will make a return, the series will also feature the return of mid-bosses of a grand scale.
And my personal favorite part... real-time corruption sequences like in the movie. No more cheap black out sequences. We will be seeing paint peeling to reveal gruesome flesh covered walls as it is happening. As if this wasn't all enough, we will also be able to finally control the camera with the left analog stick.
I guess that all is left is for me to call the planner. I'm thinking of a raw meat and chain link fence wedding.

God I want this game so bad. Silent Hill makes me shiver with delight.
I honestly don't know if I'd be able to handle it on next-gen. I might not be able to play it and go to sleep at night...
