"Stop Schwarzenegger" Campaign Launched By VGVN

Following the defeat of Leland Yee's video game legislation, Governor Schwarzenegger of California has said that he's going to appeal the bill's defeat to a higher court. As a result, the Video Game Voters Network (which is operated by the ESA), sent out an email this morning calling for gamer citizens of the Golden State to write to our fair-haired Governator in an effort to get him to knock off this nonsense:
As video gamers, parents, voters and taxpayers, we need to stop him. If you are from California, write a letter in your own words, and tell Governor Schwarzenegger that the California government does not need to do the work of the ESRB, it is an effective system just like movie ratings, and instead he should focus on educating parents about parental controls and the ESRB - and simply leave video games alone!
Personally, I find our governor's attempted censorship of violent game sales to be completely hypocritical in light of all the over-the-top action movies he starred in. More importantly, I have a problem with the fact that he he's applying a double standard to the two different media types: I've never seen him show any concern about just how easy it is for kids to get ahold of R-rated movies from whatever video rental store is near their house... hell, it's even easier just to sneak into a movie at the local movie theater. Not only that, but I really wish that someone would point out to the man just how much of a waste of taxpayers' money these unsuccessful appeals always turn out to be.
Perhaps I should also point out that Ah-nold lent both his voice and visage to a couple of violent shooters based on both the second and third Terminator films. And, also, no one should ever discuss censoring forms of media which might affect children after they have had anything to do with the release of Hercules In New York on the general populace.

I remember when I used to like him. Back before he got into politics and vetoed gay marriage rights in California, specifically..
