Video: Tenori-On Scheduled For Test Market
So I'm a bit of a gadget queen. While there are those that see a new pair of shoes or a fetching shirt that they simply cannot do without, the same applies to me and just about anything that emits light in new and interesting patterns.
Best known to most of our readers as the creator of Electroplankton, Toshio Iwai's joint project with Yamaha, the TENORI-ON, was recently scheduled for a September market test release in the UK. The TENORI-ON is a musical sequencer, toy and experimental instrument and operates much like some of his other exhibition pieces. There has been no announcement on the price, unfortunately. The video is a very good example of what the heck the thing is. If you liked his work on the DS this might be something you will want to keep an eye out for.

Wow! That's really neat. I wonder how much they'll sell for. This would the world's greatest Christmas present for my brother. I have a feeling it'll be pricey though...
Yeah, Yamaha's stuff is seldom cheap and this looks like it could actually be something of interest to working electronic musicians. I'm gonna keep my eye on it, though.
