Video: Professor Layton 2 Trailer

Professor Layton is back in a second installment and a subtitle that I can't even begin to decipher, which is rather insulting, considering we haven't even had the original translated yet. It's just as beautifully animated (maybe even more so) with that unique European feel only the Japanese can create. Although there isn't much to see here in regards to gameplay, but there is plenty of storyline. A grand green train seems to play a large part in the story, as well as some new characters. A large-eyed and sensitive looking girl seems to join the heroes, and a debonair blond nobleman seems to be the main villain. And I might be making another translative jump in the dark here, but the end of the trailer seems to have some katakana about a vampire after he evilly yells out Layton's name. What's more excited than a mystery with a pretty boy vampire? Nothing.

Come on Level 5, let us play these great games!

I've been hoping the original will get a release stateside too! The animation really is beautiful and I'm a sucker for the Popolocrois style art! ^^ Also in case you wanted to know the subtitle is "akuma no hako" (The Demon's Box) The trailer implies anyone who opens said box will die. :O
