Video: Treasure Island Z AKA Zack & Wiki
Probably the next game I will be purchasing for my Wii, Treasure Island Z (as it is known in Japan, but will be called Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure here in the states) is the face of Wii gaming. It's an old school adventure game in the vein of Monkey Island but with mini Wii remote games thrown in and a decidedly anime-flavored and colorful look. I mean, what's not to love?
Here's a japanese trailer for the game that clocks in at over 4 minutes, so there's a lot of footage. Of particular interest are some looks at new levels on the island (the Ice Mountain and the Haunted House are of particular interest) as well as some more puzzle gameplay. Apparently Wiki's magic can turn any of the island's denizens into tools for use, which is a cute touch beyond the whole "find the item to get the item" drudgery. If you're an evil wombat with no soul and you're not interested in this game, at least watch the hilarious responses of the actors, who apparently have the excitable minds and attention spans of baby chipmunks.

The people in that video look a little old to be THAT excited. Either that or those 10 year-olds have aged very poorly.
