Wig Heroes Invade City of Heroes
You may recall last weekend we made an announcement about Wig Heroes, a special LGBT event that happened in-game on the Victory server of City of Heroes. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend as I was fighting off the nerd stink of PAX, but my friend and Rainbow Alpha Force founder Sinner68 was on hand to report on all the details. make the jump to read all about the exciting evening filled with performances, celebrity impersonators and a Rikti alien invasion!

The plaza in Atlas Park on the Victory server of the City of Heroes game began to glow lavender and pink shortly before 6pm pst as the crowds gathered in anticipation of the first ever Wig Heroes event. The event was sponsored by The Rainbow Alpha Force Family of Supergroups and hosted by the 2007 Rainbow Prom Queen Ida Slapter with music provided by DJ Blu. The event began promptly at 6pm pst opening with the classic Bonnie Tyler Holding out for a hero, which was interrupted by the well timed attack on Atlas Park by the Rikti. This attack paused the show while all present fought off the invaders. Once the invaders were repelled it was back to the show.
Throughout the night celebrity impersonators included:
The Lady Bunny, Lady Miss Kier, Patsy and Edina, Cher, Britney, Janet, Ru Paul, Christina, Madonna, the girls from 9 to 5 (Dolly, Lilly and Jane), Rihanna, Pink, Daft Punk and of course the Spice Girls
A crowd of approximately 100 cheered "WIGS NOT WAR" throughout the event. The few hecklers that tried to disrupt the festivities quickly gave up and went away.
