65nm Xbox 360s Spotted Purging In Arby's Restroom

What's razor-thin and willing to enable your habit? No, not Nicole Richie or Atari. I'm talking about the new Xbox 360s equipped with "Falcon"-code-named CPUs cast in a slim 65 nanometer die. Aside from finally being able to slip into that "size 0.00002" strapless cerulean samite cocktail dress with the empire waist and the little stringy bow in the front, the new 360 hardware will run cooler and use less power than the old/current 90nm chipset - two things that can't hurt in the battle against overheating GPUs and/or CPUs - although you'd never know it, from the way flame wars follow this story.
Apparently the new CPUs started shipping out with some of the Halo edition 360s, and while there's a perfectly good guide to opening up your 360 to see which chipset you've got (or which model of DVD drive, another otherwise invisible variable), you may be better off not knowing. After all - if I open up my working-perfectly-so-far-thank-you-very-much Elite and discover it's secretly fat, how will I ever look at it the same again?
65nm Xbox 360s starting to trickle out? [Engadet]
[Thanks to Jonostarsmore for red hot tip!]

Just doing my part looking for some hot skinny action!
In all seriousness, this is the trigger for me to buy one, as soon as the premiums ship out with the new chips. I read from the engadget comments that some gamestop stores will be keeping the 65nm xboxes separate for those that want them.
I went to Circuit City today to ask about the 65nm xboxes and they said that they too, were holding them separately, but they were currently sold out. Would I be interested in a non 65nm halo 3 xbox, he asked? Uhhh shea right.
I just hope they replace the DVD drive too, I just got my 3rd replacement unit (I checked it's still 90nm) my old drive was a BenQ drive but now it's a Hitachi/LG, it sounds louder than the one I had, almost like a Hoover.
I thought the new chips have been out for a while... at least we've had 360's with HDMI for a while. I assumed they were putting HDMI in with the new chips at the same time.
Apparently, people on official xbox forums have deduced from the lot #s on the back of the 360's packaging what dvd drive, chip, etc. is contained within:
Lot #0723 or higher - new heatsinks
Lot #0727 or higher - new heatsinks and quieter DVD drives.
Lot #0734 or higher - new heatsinks, the quieter DVD drive and the 65nm chips
Don't know how accurate this is, but it could be helpful when hunting for more stable 360's
Looks like it just might be time for me to finally buy a 360!
