BioShock Banned... From Valve Offices

Valve head honcho Gabe Newell recently told CVG that he's banned BioShock from their offices:
"We had to ban Bioshock from our offices. Nobody gets to play it until Orange Box is done - that's our reward to ourselves as a company; everyone gets a copy of Bioshock. I haven't had a chance to play it. I'm really looking forward to it."
Meanwhile the folks at Bethesda, who are working on Fallout 3, have no such ban according to their blog:
"Looks like Bioshock is still the most played game around the office, with at least 30 guys planning on playing it this weekend (some for the second time through)."
While we sure want the folks at Valve working hard on the Orange Box, maybe Gabe needs to lighten up, just a little bit. Will the BioShock ban pay off? Only time will tell...

It's not a bad incentive though to offer everybody free copies... When you say "free Bioshock" then finishing Orange Box before playing it doesn't sound too bad. They'll have free time, and an awesome, free game to spend it on.
I'm sure some of them had time to play it at their homes... Why would he ban it though? Development for orange box is almost done...
Why would they allow video games to be played by workers on the clock to begin with? It wouldn't make sense to have people playing video games when they are being paid to work... Though as for banning BioShock specifically, that does seem strange.
Wow, a $59.99 bonus? That so makes me want to work for Valve.
good luck to them once they get it they will see just what it's like to have this stupid bizzare restriction in place where you have to basically beg the company to re-install the game or to change it to a different pc.
i hope they have as much fun with it as the other 11,056 people who's boycotting this in the 2kforums from what i've read :)
good luck valve team im glad you will experience what the "legit customer" has to go through with this pile of crap
