Can Square Enix Save The 360?

Microsoft's poor little Xbox 360 has been struggling in Japan since its release, and with recent news that sales of the next-gen console have actually slipped behind the last-gen PlayStation 2, something drastic had to be done. And that's where Square Enix comes in, announcing the development of a brand new RPG called Infinite Undiscovery for the underdog console.
"We are working to ramp up the action and create a dynamic, compelling next-generation RPG," said Hajime Kojima, a producer from Square Enix. The concept of the game is to play in a world that is constantly changing in real time. Even when you pull up the menu screen the action won't stop on screen.
Since it would seem Blue Dragon didn't turn out to be the system-seller Microsoft was hoping for, perhaps Squenix might be able to finally turn things around. It's not Final Fantasy, but it's something. Japan loves their roleplaying games, so maybe this will change some minds.
There's no details for the game, and no release date, so there's no telling how long Microsoft is going to have to wait to see if they can finally win over the Japanese public. But at this point, are they just trying to squeeze blood out of a stone? Wish them luck — they're gonna need it!
