Fatal Frame for the Wii

I'm sad to say that my Wii has been collecting dust as of late. Last game I purchased for the poor neglected system was Super Paper Mario, and sadly it has been a minute since even that was started up. Needless to say there was a squeal of elation when I heard that Tecmo is bringing the next installment of Fatal Frame to my underused system.
Fatal Frame is probably my second favorite survival horror series next to Silent Hill. It's like Pokemon Snap meets Japanese horror, and that is brilliant. I'm not a huge fan of how developers seem to find it necessary to add motion capture to every title under the sun for no discernible reason(I'm looking at you Twilight Princess), however this game could actually benefit from the increased speed of a point-and-shoot style interface.
And for the kicker, Tecmo has enlisted the help of Grasshopper Manufacture. Suda 51 is will be assisting on the development of a Fatal Frame title. Grasshopper plans to start development on the new title as soon as the production of No More Heroes has finished. Suddenly my purchase seems validated. Obviously the development schedule for this game is still very much in the air, so keep your ears peeled and hopefully they don't keep ups waiting for too long.

Your Wii has been collecting dust with Metroid Prime 3 out?
For shame.
Tragically, I've not purchased a copy yet. Mostly for a lack of disposable income, trying to make sure I have lots of loot cash for an upcoming vacation.
HAAAAAAA!!!! Your graphic slays me. I'm also a huge fan of the series. I was screaming like a big girl throughout the second one, Crimson Butterfly.
Grasshopper may not be known so much for "horror" as they are for "WTF?", but I'll be buying this day one for sure.
This is exactly the type of game I want to see more of on Wii. Technical powerhouses like the 360 and PS3 shouldn't be the only ones getting well crafted horror.
At least you guys have had a chance to have Super Paper Mario sitting round doing nothing... It only just came out in Australia last week!!
Yes! I am a big fan of Fatal Frame (well, all survival horror games). I recently bought all 3 of the games on Ebay, and I cannot wait for a new one.
