I Am the Only Gay In The Marketplace: BBC on XBLM (Maybe)
In the epic words of Depeche Mode... I just can't get enough (British television). There is nothing like visiting the family, breaking out a snifter of scotch and enjoying a nice evening of Red Dwarf.
Microsoft is in talks with BBC and "other content providers" to bring British programming to Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Ross Honey, senior director for media, confirmed this news and is reassuringly eager to bring High Definition programming to the Marketplace. The Xbox in the UK has been mostly devoid of video marketplace content and this could would certainly be a welcomed addition to the list of available material. No word whether or not programs which were already exported (Planet Earth and Absolutely Fabulous) will be made available to us over the big drink.
I'm holding my breath for some Little Britain and the UK narration of Planet Earth. I love Sigourney Weaver from the cockles of my heart but hearing a British man talking about fields of "wild ass" really just ices the cake.

Planet Earth is and will always be fantastic, i'm hoping for a HD Telly for the (if and when they do) next one.
I couldn't imagen it being narrated by anyone other than Attenborough though.
Must just be a British thing. :)
