Jack Thompson Shares Gay Porn
Wow. Sorry if I'm stepping on your toes, Boy Of Tomorrow... I know you have a thing for everybody's favorite wacky southern lawyer, but I simply had to share this one.
Turns out, Jack Thompson is in trouble again. I know, I know, no big surprise there. But this time, he's in trouble for sharing gay porn with the court! That, to me, is kind of surprising. See, Thompson was criticizing one of his nemesises (nemisii?), attorney Norm Kent, who also publishes the National Gay News Website. The problem is that when Thompson filed a court document decrying Kent's Website for distributing "hardcore porn to anyone of any age," he made the mistake of actually attaching several gay porn images to the motion as an example. (Though technically, the images are not from the National Gay News site, but others that can be found in the adult links section.) The judge in the case was most displeased by this action, especially since by including the images in the motion, he's made them available to the public through the public court records. From Judge Jordan's statement:
The attached exhibit, which includes several graphic images of oral and genital sex between adult males, was filed electronically in the docket in this case, without prior permission from the court…
To the extent that the other attorney’s alleged conduct is in any way relevant… there was no need for Mr. Thompson to file these graphic images in the public record. A simple reference to the website and its alleged links would have sufficed…
Through his actions, Mr. Thompson made available for unlimited public viewing, on the court’s docketing system, these graphic images.
For this reason, by October 5, 2007, Mr. Thompson shall show cause why this incident should not be referred to the court’s Ad Hoc Committee on Attorney Admissions, Peer Review, and Attorney Grievance for appropriate action.
Somebody's in trouble... And this from the guy currently trying to prove why he shouldn't be disbarred. Wow. What was he thinking?

Maybe this is just an awkward stage in some sort of coming out process? Could this be Jack Thompsons way of hinting that he's in the closet? Who knows, maybe if that's the case, he'll stop being such a negative nancy, come out of the closet, and maybe even join this site and enjoy some violent videogames. =D
You know if a writer tried to make up Jack Thompson as a work of fiction it would have been thrown out. You just can't make this guy up.
Did you know that he and I exchanged an email once a few years ago before he became well known? He email me wondered if I knew about Nintendo funding an internal study that proved than videogames caused epilepsy in healthy kids.
I told him that smashing mushrooms made me want to be a plumber and my sense of right and wrong was warped from years of playing Super Mario Bros. Do you need to put a period at the end of a sentence if it ends with a period at the end of an abbreviation? I don't think so.
