Modern-Day Oregon Trail

thule_trail.jpg

Remember playing Oregon Trail on an Apple II in elementary school? God, what a great substitute for actual learning that was (hey, it's important for a 7 year-old to know what dysentery is!). In this Flash game Thule Trail, you head westward not to find a new settlement in Oregon, but to trek to a music festival in California. Your oxen-pulled wagon is an SUV, a station wagon or a hyrbid and instead of cholera or dysentery, you've got to worry about your passengers getting boredom and car sickness. It's a pretty fun and faithful interpretation (I've already played it three times today). Enjoy!

For the love of jeebus, that is AMAZING.

the random crap that happens is golden. "so-and-so gets a gummybear stuck up his nose" made me laugh.....ok i was laughing the entire time, but that stood out for me.

Oh man...this is fantastic. The Gnome cave is my favorite. It truly was a life-changing experience.
