More Steampunk Goodness With Steambot Chronicles 2

Steambot Chronicles for PlayStation 2 was a fun excursion into a steampunk sandbox filled with fancy hats and robots. The game was really ambitious, allowing your character to lead their life however you saw fit. You could spend the day playing piano in the bar for tips, or mine for fossils for the museum, and outfit your trotmobile mech to support your all of your needs. Unfortunately the gameplay didn’t live up to lofty game design. The music-based parts needs to be tightened considerably and maneuvering your mech needs to be more precise. Hopefully these issues will be addressed in the sequel heading to the PlayStation 3.
The official Japanese website for the game they call Bumpy Trot 2, has just been launched. The look of the title has changed considerably from the cell-shaded roots of its predecessor. Now the trotmobile looks to be rendered fully, while the characters could be rendered cell-shaded. Expect to hear more about this one at the Tokyo Game Show, that our illustrious editors will be attending.
