Picross DS Downloads Available!

Okay, first, a confession: I saw a guy playing Picross DS on the subway, and I thought, "Loser!" as I went back to Tomb Raider Anniversary on my PSP. I mean, how much fun could some stupid numbered grid puzzle be? Well, I sure ate those words, as Lara now stands idly in a cave while I tap away at my DS screen trying to decipher what the next image is going to be. Seriously, the game is like electronic crack.
I haven't gotten around to trying to create my own puzzles, but in Europe and Japan, they had contests where the best user-submitted content is being made available for download. Europe is out now, and Japan is coming soon. Unfortunately, as I went into my WiFi connection, I discovered that living in the bass-ackwards United States, we're left out. However, I did make an interesting discovery today when I went into the "Community" section via Nintendo WiFi. If you select "Classic Puzzles" you'll now see "Mario's Picross" as an option. Tapping that allows you to access two puzzle packs from the original Mario's Picross Game Boy game. After downloading them, the packs can be found under "Classic" in the "My Picross" section.
Yay for free add-on content! (Even if I haven't finished all of the puzzles that came with the game) Now if we could only get a similar user-created contest going in the US...

Rad. Thanks for the heads up! Can't wait to get more!
Finally!
