Pot Calls Kettle Black, Lair Dev Says "Eurgh!" at Warhawk's SIXAXIS Controls

GamesRadar had the chance to sit down with Factor 5's president Julian Eggebrecht recently. In that interview, they briefly discussed the possibility of a new Rogue Squadron game, but that wasn't all. The topic of Warhawk came up and he had something quite funny to say about the game's controls:
"Warhawk's controls are... eurgh!," Eggebrecht told us with a shudder. He explained that while motion-sensing felt the perfect way to convey the feeling of controlling a dragon in Lair, he believed the kinetic technology in PS3's Sixaxis controllers shouldn't be used just because it's there. "I see motion-sensing as a complimentary, additional new step in terms of controls and where it fits you should use it and where it doesn't fit, don't force it. Please don't force it."
OK, my friend, we understand that your game sucks, hell it might even become a curse word like Shaq-Fu!! Lair was so bad that it was rushed out to store shelves in order to beat the numerous reviews that panned the game to the punch. Still, the SixAxis controls in Warhawk are only optional, if I recall correctly. They by no means force it. Stop picking on other games just because yours sucked.

Lair wasnt bad. It was just meh. It was like TMNT. It wasnt good. It wasnt bad. It was just something that was there.
Yes, the motion controls in Warhawk are optional. You can just use the sticks if you want. Therein lies the huge difference: You actually have a choice.
