Pre-Order Pirates, Get Booty!

Sony's new PC MMORPG Pirates Of The Burning Sea will be available for pre-order starting on Tuesday, October 23, and since the most important selling point for a pre-order is what swag you get with it, it's nice to see this one doesn't disappoint. Of course, I don't know why they didn't start taking pre-orders yesterday on International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
If you pre-order the game, you'll receive an invitation to the "Pre-Boarding Party," which will grant you access to the live game 15 days prior to launch, and the ability to keep your characters, skills and equipment if you buy the full game at launch. Not only that, but you also get "Captain's Best Friend," a blue and yellow parrot, which would be cooler if it were an actual bird or even a stuffed animal, but it's an in-game item, like the bonus weapon you will also snag with a pre-order. In addition, the pre-order box will come complete with a CD of the game's soundtrack with an hour of pirate-themed music.
Now if I actually had a PC and actually liked pirates, this would be a tempting offer for me. But while I may not be their target audience, I'm sure some of you are, so get ready to walk the plank!

I'm too busy on WoW and possibly taking up Phatasy Star Online: Blue Burst to have any time with a pirate game.
Although this game looks like fun, I'm still on a self-imposed ban from all MMORPGs. Let's just say I get a little crazy about them. My addictive personality comes out in spades.
I think I'd love to play more MMORPGs, but in order to be really good in any one of them and get the good loot, you have to dedicate yourself to it. Which is hard to do when you play WoW, work 40+, and go to school. So sorry to CoV and LOTRO (and now POTBS), I'll buy you and then won't play.
