Prove Your Geekiness, Win Fabulous Prizes
If you aren't familiar with Geeks Are Sexy, I highly recommend checking out their site a little, since they're one of the best nerd/tech news blogs on the net. Well, OK, I might be biased because I *might* have written a few articles for them while I was in college. But, still, they are actually pretty damn good.
Well, because GAS loves to show their reader community as much love as possible, Yann has put together a pretty spiffy little contest in which readers are asked to submit a "How To" guide regarding something geeky:
This “How To” must be geeky. Anything related to technology, gadgets, graphic editing, software, hardware , blogging, and computer security is fine. We don’t want to see anything like “How to color you hair at home”. If you are unsure if the subject you want to write about is acceptable, just ask us!The contest starts today. We’ll give you a month to write your articles, and then we’ll select six random winners. Everyone has a chance to win, but the BEST articles will be published on [GAS]. Your post could be read by thousands of people a day!
Now, speaking as the former videogame columnist for the site, I'm pretty sure that gaming-related articles (like, say, something akin to how to customize your Xbox360 case in order to show off your artistic side or how to hack a wiimote) would probably be welcome submissions, too.
