PS3 And PSP Firmware Updates Coming Soon

rumor-of-a-sony-ps3-firmware-192-update.jpg

According to the official PlayStation blog, Sony is about to release updates to the PSP and PS3 firmware. The upcoming PS3 firmware 1.93 will address the networking issues caused by the 1.92 update such as the inconsistent access to the PlayStation Store and the difficulty logging into the Warhawk servers. The new update should clear up all of these issues.

The PSP firmware update will add a few interesting features to the portable like switching visual themes for the interface. The new themes will be available on PlayStation.com, accessible through the PSP browser. Themes will be designed around popular titles and downloaded to the memory stick. To switch your theme, go to theme settings, and select the custom theme you want to display. Also, you will now be able to listen to music as you view a photo slideshow.
