TGS 07: Quick & Dirty With Chocobo's Dungeon

Who better for a Square Enix RPG on the family-friendly Wii than a chocobo? "Chocobo the Chocobo" stars in this dungeon crawler, part of a series that is only now making it to North America. Our brief time with the game took saw us in a fiery dungeon, so I can't comment on the world map or towns, but the beautiful (and randomly generated, fyi) dungeon brought an old-school one-to-one dungeon feel to the updated world of chocobos, as Chocobo sets out to restore his friends' memories - all mysteriously stolen.
By one-to-one, I mean this: you take a step on the map and the enemies take a step as well...should your paths collide, turn-based battle ensues! Chocobo can play one of several jobs: regular, black mage, knight (lil' helmet...so cute), and what I suspect is white mage (lil cape with cat ears...even cuter).
Also in the game is minigames that rely on motion control (although the main game does not, and doesn't need it), as well as a collectible card game you can play with your friends over Wi-Fi. Release for Japan is December 07.

:3 It is white mage chocobo. Aw, lookit little white mage chocobo plod around. This game will be the death from cute of me.
So in other words, it's yet another Pokemon Mystery Dungeon or Chocobo Mystery Dungeon except that when you run into an enemy you go into a battle screen, instead of fighting on the map like a roguehack.
Yawn.
If you go to this Japanese site, you can see a picture of a chocobo in the white mage outfit.
