Video: A Vampyre Story Trailer
My old friend Billy Butler Yeats once observed an eternal truth: "The best lack all conviction, while the worst are filled with a passionate intensity." Tru dat. It looks like the truism holds up for games as well as for delicate flowers of talent and anxiety such as myself: A Vampyre Story, a Tim Burton-esque black comedy adventure game from the LucasArts expats at Autumn Moon Entertainment, has suffered its share of setbacks - such as losing its original publisher and having a French web site.
But one look at this trailer tells me that, at the very least, A Vampyre Story has excellent writing and tremendous voice acting. Will the PC adventure title from The Curse of Monkey Island alumnus Bill Tiller rock North America? It seems as if Focus Home when it releases in Q1 2008? I sure hope so.
