Video: Nerdcore About Zork - It Is Pitch Dark
To quote a man named Atlas "I'm not one to question providence", this is just too good to pass up. As many of you should be aware I wrote a retrospective professing my love for the text adventure genre, similarly mentioning how particular I am when it comes to rap. In a cosmic coincidence these statements coincided with the discovery of a single video, satiating my desire for both in one fell swoop.
MC Frontalot today released the video for his song It Is Pitch Dark. The video was created as extra content for an up and coming documentary about text adventures, Get Lamp. The song has quite a catchy hook, repeatedly stating that "You are likely to be eaten by a grue", a quote of Zork fame. The entire song is about this popular Infocom game and it is certainly worth a good listen.
