Wii Zapper Unveiling Reveals New Zelda

The ineffable Ben Kuchera at Ars Technica brings us the good word of a new Zelda game: but before you get your hopes up, let's make it clear that this does not seem to be a new Zelda mainstay - but a Zelda-themed light gun game for the Wii Zapper.
In fact, it's a Zelda-themed pack-in game that seems as if it will come with the Wii Zapper, as reported from the GameStop store manager orgy currently rocking Vegas with all the funk only a casino full of GameStop store managers can bring.
The game's name? Zelda Crossbow Training. Said one GameStoppish bystander:
"I'm pretty sure it was running on the Twilight Princess engine. It's a third-person game, and you had some control over Link. While the video was way too short to get a good idea of the gameplay, it looks like a light-gun inspired Zelda title."
Smooth move for Nintendo to package their gun "zapper" with a shooting "ranged advenure" game - if anyone's been paying attention to how Nintendo tries to give us grown-ups what we want without using kid-unfriendly words, ideas, or gamertags (stupid 12-digit numbers...), you'll have noticed that they've done a bang-up job selling us a gun with little-to-no fuss (or Thompson).
Plus, a light Zelda title! Metroid Pinball - get lost!

Shame it wasn't an update version of Duck Hunt. That'd have been cool.
Agreed on the Duck Hunt deal. On the other hand at least it's only $20. Maybe I'll play the Zelda game and toss the shell.
I keep hearing people call for an updated Duck Hunt. Just how much more of an update do you want than the one in Wii Play?
Do you want photorealistic ducks with real duck-part spatter and blood on the condescending cartoon dog's realistically animated jowls when he fetches them from the grass with the individually rendered blades, hazy sunlight gleaming off of his glistening, approval-seeking eyeball? Because I really don't.
