Wikipedia Scanner Wars Pt. 2: Yee On Yee Action

Nothing goes together like anti-gaming State Senatorial dunce Leland Yee and the shameless editing of Wikipedia entries by government officials and/or gaming lobbyists. Why, that's a marriage made in Heck!
This time it seems a certain someone at the California State Capitol altered the Wikipedia Entry of a certain architect-of-resoundingly-failed-anti-game-legislation, one Mr. Leland Yee. That may not lose Yee much clout with the soccer moms, but the technologically literate among us may appreciate the following report by radio station KQED:
Take, for example, the Wikipedia entry for Sen. Leland Yee (D-SF), which was polished up to highlight his 2006 effort to ban violent video games being sold to kids. Between late May and August 2006, someone at the Capitol added glowing references to his fight “for children, mental health services, working families, the environment, and civil rights.”
Someone also logged on from a legislative computer to delete references to a 1992 shoplifting charge against Yee, and several Capitol edits attempted to frame the violent video game debate in the most flattering light possible…
Hey, what's a little shoplifting and self-propaganda between friends? What's a little spin? That's why you'll find the Wikipedia article on future State Senator Tiny Q. Dancer to be utterly spotless. Utterly.
