Beautiful Katamari Rolls Off To The Factory

Praises be to Jeebus! Beautiful Katamari is, as we speak, rolling it's golden self off to the factory to be mass produced for consumption by the public at large. Not only does this latest entry look like it will live up to the joyful madness of previous entries, but it will feature a "funky, fresh soundtrack that includes remixed and original Katamari-themed songs sung by 80’s J-Pop stars." Can't get too much gayer than that. Well, perhaps if they revealed The King's famous codpiece, it would send that meter through the roof. Still a damn shame that they hid his codpiece. As of now, that is my only issue with the game. In the meantime, keep an eye out for Beautiful Katamari and its $39.99 pricetag!

BEAUTIFUL KATAMARI™ ROLLS FOR GOLD IN NORTH AMERICA
The Prince Gears Up for His Next-Gen Premiere
Santa Clara, Calif., October 2, 2007 – Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., announced today that Beautiful Katamari™ has gone gold for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The latest edition to the wacky Katamari franchise rolls onto the scene with colorful high definition graphics, online multiplayer modes, new stages and cousins. Beautiful Katamari is rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) and will be available for a suggested price of $39.99.
Roll with the Prince as he collects anything and everything he can with his Katamari in order to help right the wrongs of his father, The King of All Cosmos. Beautiful Katamari retains the quirky and fun art style of previous iterations while boasting the largest number of levels in the series to date. To keep the Prince movin’ and groovin’ through his quest, Beautiful Katamari features a funky, fresh soundtrack that includes remixed and original Katamari-themed songs sung by 80’s J-Pop stars.
One is a lonely number, but thankfully the Prince will have more than 50 cousins to keep the ball rolling. Having discovered new games to play since the Royal family’s last time out, players can now compete with up to three friends in online challenges as the Prince or any of the cousins. But the fun doesn’t end there. Building upon the amazing Beautiful Katamari world, multiple leaderboards will track worldwide statistics and a variety of downloadable content will become available soon after the game has launched.
Players wanting to take a trial spin of Beautiful Katamari before its release can download the official demo from Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
