Buy Chibi-Robo, Save The Planet

Okay. I never played the original Chibi-Robo on the GameCube, and never really intended to play the DS sequel, Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol. But that didn't stop me from getting annoyed when it was revealed that it was actually some kind of wacky Wal-Mart exclusive (like they need the extra sales). But now it turns out that in keeping with the enviromental theme of the game, Nintendo is going to send out 500 tree seedlings to lucky winners who register their copy of the game between now and November 9. So if you actually buy it, you can do your part to help save the planet.
Mind you, a quick check of Nintendo's Website led me to the sweepstakes, and as long as you're a member of My Nintendo, you can totally enter without buying the game. Not that I was going to buy it anyway, like I said. Of course, I shouldn't have entered anyway, because I live on a third-floor walkup in a Brooklyn Brownstone. Where am I supposed to plant a tree?

Chibi-robo on the Gamecube was the most embarrassing fun I had on that little box. It was nothing amazing to look at, but damn if that game didn't have any charm and was fun as a barrel of monkeys.... or robots.... or something.
Ordered Park Patrol today.
damn...sometimes i hate being canadian....I can't even enter most sweepstakes :(
oh well, we have lots of tress here anyways
This Chibi Robo game sounds surprisingly fun, and it seems to have a pretty good message as well. This sweepstakes is also a cute way for Nintendo to encourage environmental awareness.
For fans of Castlevania or Metroid looking for something different, the cube version of Chibi-Robo is a great hidden gem. With a similar level structure, replace all the space monsters or zombies with stains. A great character, and an awesome game.
I just wish I could pull myself away from Zelda and Halo to play the copy I bought!
Chibi Robo is the most charming damn game anywhere. The DS game just cintinues that. If you own any Nintendo system it is a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY to not get them.
However, it's also a crime against humanity to shop at Wal-Mart so do what you gotta, I guess.
A "Brooklyn Brownstone" ? That sounds so cool and American.
Being English I'm stuck in this drafty old castle and who wants that?!
So jealous!
