Game City Lifts Off: Keita Takahashi and Alexey Pajitnov To Speak
If you live here in the UK you are spoilt for choice this coming week, with both the London Games Festival and Game City opening their doors to the great unwashed. While LGS kicks off on Monday, Game City starts on Wednesday, and should this sort of competitive timetabling continue, we can certainly expect big things from either event (no doubt as they compete to attract the gaming glitterati.)
This promises to be a new kind of festival. Dare I say it, but Game City seems to have the edge over the London Games Festival in terms of program, with chirpy Katamari Damacy designer Keita Takahashi and Tetris legend Alexey Pajitnov both making live appearances, translators in tow. There is lots to see and do, including presentations by the One Life Left team, practical workshops, film screenings and other such fabulous things. See you there!
