Gears Of Thundercats
Gears Of War seems to have hit a wall as far as getting made into a movie, but the game's art director, Jerry O'Flaherty has been hired by Warner Bros. to helm the upcoming CGI adaptation of the cult classic 80s cartoon Thundercats.
"It feels like a natural thing for me to step into," he told Variety. "Games have come so far now. The last four years of my life have been about bringing the energy of filmmaking into the videogame experience."
He also claims that his film wil remain faithful to the original franchise, and the plot descriptions I've seen sure sound like they're on the right track. Still, I'm going to hold off any real enthusiasm until I see some character designs and footage. I'm paranoid that way. I mean, we all saw how Transformers turned out...
