Gears Of War Movie On Pause?
Anyone looking foward to sitting in a darkened movie theater cozying up with your beau with only a bucket of popcorn between you and watching the dirty hot soldiers in Gears Of War head into battle could have quite a long wait. Word has it that due to budgetary concerns, "New Line will most likely not be moving foward on this film."
Because while comic book adaptations have been kicking butt and taking names at the box office (regardless of the quality of the films... Superman Returns, I'm looking at you), it seems like the same can't be said for videogame flicks. Apparently, despite successes like Resident Evil, Uwe Boll has pretty much soured Hollywood on game movies by snatching up cheap licenses and making even cheaper movies out of them. You know, in case you needed another reason to hate the guy...
