Guitar Hero III Inches Ever Closer

My Guitar Hero III countdown continues with only 9 days left before Red Octane's finger cramping sequel hits store shelves. After a festive little jaunt down to my local Toys R Us, I was pleased to see that this season's release is getting the retail support it deserves. Activision is supplying dedicated demo kiosks in hopes of grabbing the attention of gamers, rock stars in training and hip grandmas everywhere.
Of course, if you just absolutely can't wait for the street date, you can always whet your whistle on the Guitar Hero III demo. The five song demo is available by snagging yourself a copy of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground or picking up the December 2007 issue of Official Xbox Magazine. Interestingly enough, there seems to be another way of playing the demo, but let's just stick to the official conduits -- it's only one more week.
I personally can't decide whether I am more excited about the new playlist or the online play. What are you most looking forward to?

I should go reserve my copy. I mean, they have Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast". I am sold on just that!
I'm moving on to ROCK BAND, thank you.
