Halo 3 Has Its Glitches, Too

I love it when hysterical/nigh-improbable things happen in games. Granted, when there are a few too many bugs (such as just about every boss fight in Marc Ecko's Getting Up), things get annoying pretty quickly. However, every now and then, I get a kick out of such moments. It seems that Richard Windsor also enjoys such events, as he posted the screenshot from Halo 3 on the right with the following description:
Last night as I was running through Tsavo Highway to collect a skull, a brute in a chopper hit my Warthog and it looked like he was headed over the cliff to his ultimate demise. Luckily for the brute what appears to be a power line saved him from certain death. He balanced there on that wire for a good minute, then he just died mysteriously.
It's too bad he wasn't able to capture some video footage of the event in question. I would've loved to have seen that in action.
Brute On A Wire [Aeropause]

We could all see it if he saved the video and uploaded it!
Gamepro.com is running a scary sounding story involving the possibility that Halo 3 may actually destroy the occasional XBOX 360 that is is put in to.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?
I think this is really one of the more interesting? worrisome? advents of mainstream online capability for the 360. The bugs will obviously be patched by a future update, which is good. But this might lead developers to release more buggy games and patch them up later. Which is bad.
I guess I shouldn't be too worried considering the quality-checking that goes on, but the concern still occasionally nudges me.
