HALOLCATS: Where Internet Memes Go To Die.

As with a large number of people, I spend a good portion of my time sitting in my office filtering through various web pages my supposed "friends" send me. As such I've seen my fair share of internet trash. I'll confess to secretly enjoying Lolcats. It is a guilty pleasure that I enjoy looking at any silly photo with an amusing caption attached to it, especially when it's misspelled in a comedic fashion. There is, however, a point where a joke has been taken just a bit too far.
Halo 3, multiplayer ready first-person shooter and game that every child with an xbox under the age of 16 I've ever met is infatuated with. Lolcats, funny captioned photos of cats in amusing poses. Combine them and you get some sort of internet superpower set to dominate the world. Yes, it's cute. Looking at their carefully crafted product cross referencing is amusing at first, but I can't help finding myself making that awkward laugher that is usually reserved for encounters with your "funny" uncle at family reunions.
For the love of god people, the hype machine was bad enough. When will the linking and want to play requests end!
